Sincere apologies all,

I’m in the between-apartments limbo at the moment and have very limited internet access. I can keep an eye on things from my iPhone but found that posting blogs from there is nigh-on impossible. There is loads going on in Dublin and beyond and I’ll try to get a full post up asap, including Tricky and The Leitrim Equation reviews and a few notes about up and coming bits.

In the meantime, I like this…

Festival Season

The next few weeks are going to be extremely gig busy with a host of individual events taking place and two week-long festivals.

I’ll be blogging Temple Bar’s Handel Festival starting Monday 13 April with the annual Messiah on the Street on Fishamble St. 2009 is Handel’s 250th Anniversary and Temple Bar Cultural Trust are remembering the composer with a week of events. I’ll also be running a competition on my blog for tickets for the David Rees-Williams Trio in Christ Church on Friday. Watch this space!

As the Handel Festival ends Dublin moves to the other end of the chronological music spectrum with the first Ergodos festival, titled Off The Grid. This is an epic 9-day series of events from the organisers of what was formerly Printing House Music Festival starting Friday 17 April.

It’s going to be a busy month…

I discovered this wonderful short ode to the Irish male on Dermod Moore’s blog a bit of bonhomie. I checked in on Moore’s blog after hearing him speak at the Arts Council New Media Conference  last year but had forgotten to add it to my google reader until this week.
