The 2009 Dublin Handel Festival launched in Fishamble St today with the annual performance of Messiah on the Street. Messiah on the Street takes place each year and 2009 is an exceptional year as it’s the commemoration of 250 years after Handel’s death and Temple Bar Cultural Trust are running a whole series of events around his music.
